The Atlas SD72 8" Ceiling Speaker is a dual-cone, 25-watt in-ceiling loudspeaker designed for background music, paging, and announcements in commercial and retail environments. Its 8" curvilinear treated paper cone delivers low harmonic distortion, while the 10oz ceramic magnet ensures efficient and reliable sound reproduction.
The speaker features a 1" copper voice coil with black anodized aluminum former for excellent power dissipation and comes with a factory-installed 25/70.7V line matching transformer with tap selections from 0.25 to 5 watts. With a frequency response of 45Hz–19kHz, sensitivity of 97dB, and a 105° dispersion angle, the SD72 provides clear, well-balanced audio throughout the coverage area.
Installation is straightforward with the included CRS baffle, hidden mounting studs, and standard screw mount hardware. The baffle’s white powder coat epoxy finish blends seamlessly into ceilings, while its mounting holes accommodate most Atlas 8" tile bridges, mounting rings, and enclosures.
