The Shure A98D Microphone Drum Mount is a professional rim-mounted microphone holder designed for secure, flexible microphone positioning on drums. Featuring a redesigned mounting mechanism and adjustable gooseneck, the A98D allows drummers and sound engineers to position microphones precisely without the need for a separate microphone stand.
Designed for live performances, studio recording, and professional drum microphone setups, the Shure A98D drum mount attaches securely to a drum rim without requiring a drum key. Its compact, unobtrusive design helps reduce stage clutter while keeping the microphone firmly positioned during performances.
Whether you're miking toms, snare drums, or other compatible drums, the A98D provides a convenient solution for achieving consistent microphone placement.
Secure Drum Rim Mounting Without a Drum Key
The Shure A98D features a redesigned rim-mounting mechanism that allows quick, secure attachment to compatible drum rims.
Unlike mounting systems that require a drum key for installation, the A98D offers convenient tool-free mounting, making microphone setup and adjustments faster during sound checks, rehearsals, and live performances.
Its secure attachment helps keep the microphone in position even during energetic drum performances.
Flexible Gooseneck for Precise Microphone Positioning
The A98D features an adjustable gooseneck that allows the microphone to be positioned at different angles and distances from the drumhead.
Microphone placement plays an important role in drum sound. Small adjustments can affect the balance of attack, resonance, and overall tonal character.
The flexible gooseneck gives sound engineers and drummers the freedom to experiment with microphone placement while maintaining a secure mounting point.
Compact Design Reduces Stage and Studio Clutter
Traditional microphone stands can take up valuable space around a drum kit, particularly when multiple drums require individual microphones.
The Shure A98D Microphone Drum Mount attaches directly to the drum rim, reducing the need for floor stands and helping create a cleaner, more organized setup.
Its compact design is especially useful on crowded stages, in smaller recording studios, and around complex drum kits.
