The AtlasIED FAP42TC is a compact, high-performance 4" in-ceiling speaker designed for tight plenum spaces and shallow wall cavities. With an overall depth of just 4 inches (102mm), it’s ideal for commercial installations where ceiling space is limited — such as offices, salons, hospitality venues, and low-profile architectural settings.

Despite its shallow design, the FAP42TC delivers rich, high-fidelity audio with wide, even coverage thanks to a 4" polypropylene woofer, 3/4" PEI tweeter, and precision crossover network. The system includes a front-mounted 70.7V/100V tap selector with a bypass position for 8-ohm direct operation, ensuring maximum versatility for any distributed audio system.

Installation is fast and flexible. The included C-ring/V-rail tile bridge and dog-leg mounting system simplifies installs in drop ceilings and drywall, while a rear cover with combination 1/2"/3/4" knockouts makes conduit integration easy. For new drywall construction, the optional FAP42-TR trim ring is available.

The FAP42TC maintains all the popular features of the FAP42T series while enabling performance in locations where traditional in-ceiling speakers won’t fit.
