The BSS Soundweb London BLU-BOB2, also known as a Break-Out Box, provides 8 channels of analog audio output expansion for Soundweb London systems. Using the platform’s high-bandwidth, fault-tolerant digital audio bus, the BLU-BOB2 allows line-level audio signals to be distributed reliably to remote locations in professional installed sound environments.
The BLU-BOB2 is designed for rack-mounted installations and delivers the same performance and connectivity as the BLU-BOB1, housed in a 19-inch, single rack space chassis.
Digital Audio Bus & Connectivity
The BLU-BOB2 connects to Soundweb London devices via a 256-channel, low-latency digital audio bus using standard Category 5e cabling, supporting distances of up to 100 meters between compatible devices.
For long-distance installations, the BSS Audio MC-1 fiber optic media converter extends system connectivity to over 10 km (6.2 miles) using single-mode fiber.
Channel Assignment & Configuration
Output channel selection is handled via six rear-panel DIP switches, allowing users to select any consecutive group of eight channels from the 256 available channels on the digital audio bus.
