The Cloud CVS-P42T Pendant Speaker is a compact, professional 4.5-inch, 2-way coaxial loudspeaker designed for background music, paging, and speech reinforcement in commercial spaces with open or high ceilings. Part of the Cloud Contractor Series, the CVS-P42T combines clear audio reproduction with a discreet suspended design, making it an excellent choice for restaurants, retail stores, bars, offices, and hospitality environments.
Featuring a 4.5-inch polypropylene woofer with a soft rubber surround and a 0.5-inch aluminum dome tweeter, the CVS-P42T delivers balanced music reproduction and clear speech intelligibility. Its downward-facing driver arrangement provides 360-degree horizontal dispersion, making it suitable for distributed sound systems where speakers are suspended above the listening area.
The built-in multi-tap transformer supports 25V, 70V, and 100V speaker systems, while a selectable 8-ohm setting allows operation with compatible low-impedance amplifiers. A rotary selector provides convenient access to the available transformer taps.
Available in black (CVS-P42TB) or white (CVS-P42TW), the speaker includes suspension hardware and a paintable enclosure for integration into commercial interiors.

Designed for Open-Ceiling Commercial Audio Systems
The Cloud CVS-P42T is designed for installations where traditional flush-mounted ceiling speakers may not be practical.
In restaurants, retail stores, and commercial spaces with exposed ceilings, pendant speakers can be suspended closer to the listening area to provide more consistent audio coverage.
The CVS-P42T's coaxial driver arrangement directs sound downward while maintaining 360-degree horizontal dispersion around the speaker.
This makes it well suited for distributed background music, paging, and general-purpose speech reinforcement.
Clear Music and Speech Reproduction
The CVS-P42T features a 4.5-inch polypropylene woofer with a soft rubber surround and a 0.5-inch aluminum dome tweeter.
The two drivers work together through an internal crossover network to reproduce music and speech with clarity.
With a frequency response of 125 Hz–20 kHz (±3 dB) and sensitivity of 86 dBA at 1 watt/1 meter, the speaker is designed for background music and voice applications.
For installations requiring stronger low-frequency reproduction, a compatible subwoofer may be appropriate.
Flexible 25V, 70V, 100V and 8-Ohm Operation
The CVS-P42T can be used with commercial constant-voltage amplifiers or compatible low-impedance amplifiers.
Its integrated transformer supports 25V, 70V, and 100V speaker lines, allowing multiple speakers to be connected to a distributed audio system.
Installers can select the appropriate transformer tap using the rotary switch on the speaker.
For low-impedance applications, the 8-ohm setting bypasses the transformer.

Convenient Pendant Installation
The Cloud CVS-P42T includes suspension components for hanging the speaker from a suitable structural mounting point.
The supplied hardware includes an eyebolt, nut, washer, suspension cable, and carabiner. A protective top cover helps shield the connections and selector switch after installation.
The speaker uses a detachable 4-pin Euroblock connector for convenient wiring.
For installations where suspension from the ceiling is not practical, Cloud offers optional WB-P46 wall-mounting brackets in black or white.
All mounting hardware must be installed according to Cloud's instructions and the load requirements of the supporting structure.
