Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation

The AONIC 50 Gen 2 uses Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation with microphones positioned inside and outside the earcups. Four selectable ANC modes allow you to adjust the amount of outside noise you want to block.

The MaxAware setting is designed for situations where you want to reduce unwanted ambient noise while maintaining awareness of your surroundings.

Spatialized Audio

Spatialized Audio is one of the major additions to the AONIC 50 Gen 2. Shure's proprietary processing expands the perceived soundstage and provides three selectable listening modes:

Bluetooth 5 provides wireless connectivity with support for a wide range of codecs, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Voice, AAC, SBC, and LDAC. The headphones can also be connected using the included 3.5 mm analog cable when a wired connection is preferred. The USB-C connection supports charging and audio/communication functions.
