The Shure BLX2/B58 Handheld Wireless Transmitter combines the professional vocal performance of the Shure BETA 58A supercardioid dynamic microphone capsule with the convenience of Shure BLX analog wireless technology. Designed for singers, worship leaders, presenters, and live sound professionals, this handheld transmitter provides clear vocal reproduction and freedom of movement when paired with a compatible Shure BLX wireless receiver.
Featuring an integrated BETA 58A microphone capsule, the BLX2/B58 delivers focused vocal pickup, excellent rejection of unwanted off-axis sound, and the durability needed for regular stage use. Its supercardioid polar pattern is particularly useful for live vocals in environments with nearby instruments, stage monitors, and other sound sources.
With up to 14 hours of battery life using two AA batteries and a wireless operating range of up to 300 feet (91 meters) under suitable conditions, the BLX2/B58 offers a practical handheld wireless solution for professional sound reinforcement.
Important: The Shure BLX2/B58 is a handheld transmitter with an integrated BETA 58A microphone capsule. A compatible Shure BLX wireless receiver is required and is sold separately.
Shure BETA 58A Supercardioid Dynamic Microphone Capsule
The Shure BETA 58A is a professional dynamic vocal microphone designed for live performance and sound reinforcement applications.
Its tailored frequency response emphasizes vocal clarity and presence, helping singers and speakers maintain definition in amplified environments.
Supercardioid Pickup for Focused Vocals
Unlike the standard SM58 cardioid microphone, the BETA 58A features a supercardioid polar pattern that provides tighter directional pickup and strong rejection of sound arriving from the sides.
This makes the BLX2/B58 particularly useful for live vocal performances where microphone isolation and feedback management are important.
Proper stage monitor placement remains essential for achieving the best results.
Professional Vocal Reproduction
The BETA 58A capsule is engineered for lead vocals, backing vocals, and professional speech applications.
Its dynamic microphone design and tailored frequency response make it well suited for energetic stage performances and demanding live sound environments.
Shure BLX2 Handheld Wireless Transmitter
The Shure BLX2 handheld transmitter provides a convenient wireless alternative to traditional wired microphones.
Its integrated microphone capsule and transmitter design allow performers to move freely on stage without a microphone cable connected to the mixing console.
Simple, Convenient Operation
The BLX2 features straightforward power and frequency group/channel controls, making it easy to configure with a compatible Shure BLX receiver.
The transmitter includes an LED indicator for power and battery status.
Long Battery Life
Powered by two AA batteries, the BLX2 provides up to 14 hours of operating time, depending on battery type and operating conditions.
This makes it suitable for rehearsals, worship services, presentations, concerts, and other extended events.
Compatible Shure BLX Wireless Receivers
The Shure BLX2/B58 is designed to operate with compatible Shure BLX wireless receivers, including appropriate BLX4, BLX4R, and BLX88 receiver configurations.
The transmitter and receiver must operate within the same compatible wireless frequency band and be configured to matching group and channel settings.
Compatible receivers with Shure QuickScan can help locate an available operating frequency before the transmitter is configured.
A wireless receiver is not included with this transmitter.
