Shure VP88 Stereo Microphone

The Shure VP88 is a single-point, stereo condenser microphone designed for professional studio recording, field production, ENG, and broadcasting. Combining two condenser capsules in a single housing, it captures a realistic stereo image of your sound source while remaining rugged enough for demanding field use.

Its Mid-Side (M-S) configuration ensures optimal stereo imaging: the Mid capsule faces forward with a cardioid pattern to capture on-axis sound, while the Side capsule is bi-directional, capturing audio from both sides. An internal M-S matrix provides three adjustable stereo separation settings, which can also be bypassed for external processing or post-production.

The VP88 excels at capturing live events, studio performances, and broadcast applications, offering low noise, low distortion, and wide dynamic range for pristine audio. Its mono-compatible design ensures reliability in professional broadcast and recording environments.
