The SoundTube IPD-CM62-BGM-II is a high-performance 6.5” coaxial in-ceiling speaker engineered for IP-addressable audio networks using Dante™ and AES67. Designed for paging, background music, and distributed audio, it delivers exceptional clarity, wide dispersion, and reliable PoE-powered operation.
This model features a 6.5” polypropylene woofer with butyl rubber surround and a 1” silk dome tweeter housed in a durable sealed steel backcan with a tuned port for enhanced bass performance. With a wide 50 Hz – 22 kHz frequency range, the speaker provides smooth, consistent coverage supported by SoundTube’s BroadBeam Ring™ technology, ensuring detailed mid-range and broad off-axis response.
The IPD-CM62-BGM-II receives power, audio, and control through a single CAT5/CAT6 cable and integrates seamlessly with the SoundTube STNet Switch, delivering up to 40W PoE per speaker. It also works with standard PoE+ and other compliant network switches. System configuration, zoning, and monitoring are handled through SoundTube software, with automatic fault reporting for reliable system management.
Installation is fast and secure using the SpeedWing™ constant-tension mounting system and the included 21-gauge steel tile bridge, color-coded to match the speaker. A pre-construction bracket is also available for early-phase builds. The speaker is UL 60065 and UL 2043 listed, and features a durable white painted steel grille, with custom colors offered on request.
